Cocktail Concoction: Cider & Spice

This cocktail can be served hot or cold.

** If Hot **

3oz Mulled Cider

2oz Rum

Warm Mulled Cider in a saucepan on the stove or microwave.

Pour Rum into a coffee mug and top with the hot cider and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

** If Cold **

2oz Mulled Cider

1.25oz Rum

Pour Mulled Cider and Rum in a cocktail shaker with ice.

Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass

Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon

You can buy mulling spice pouches or get more DIY with it. No matter how you approach this recipe, it is the perfect fall drink.

If mulling yourself, I recommend warming a half gallon of Cider in a sauce pan with 8oz of Grape Juice or a dry Red Wine, 2 Cinnamon Sticks, 5 Cloves, and a few dashes of Nutmeg. Do not boil! This can then be strained and saved in the fridge up to 1 week.
