The Hessian Wakes

Made specifically for The Horseman episode.

COCKTAIL CONCOCTION: THE HESSIAN WAKES

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in the following:

1oz Spiced Rum

1oz Jagermeister

.25oz Fresh Lemon Juice

Shake vigorously and strain into a rocks glass with ice – or it can be served as a shot!

This cocktail is a delicious thematic blend. The Headless Horseman is supposed to be a Hessian (German) mercenary and historically, before whiskey became the American Spirit, Rum was the liquor of choice. So It’s a German American mixed drink with a bit of citrus to brighten it up .
